A man's body was discovered Sunday morning in Antrim County.  It happened around 10:00 am at one of the city boat launches in Elk Rapids near the downtown district.

Emergency crews responded to the boat launch along the Elk River. The Antrim County Sheriff's office, the Elk Rapids Village Police, and Eemergency Medical Responders were all called to the scene, where a man's body was found in the water.

A neighbor tells 7 & 4 News it appears to have happened in an empty boat slip.  Police don't believe there was foul play.

We're told it looks like the victim was an older man, but his man's name hasn't been released - and it's not clear if investigators even know his identity. It's also not clear how long the body had been there, and investigators haven't said who discovered it.

Many of the details still haven't been released. The Antrim County Sheriff's office is handling this case, but isn't commenting on the investigation.
