Dangerous levels of E.Coli force health officials to issue a no contact advisory for parts of the St. Mary's River
The Chippewa County Health Department has issued a no-body contact advisory for areas along the north shore of Sugar Island.
The elevated levels of E. Coli are found in the Lake George Channel specifically 55 North Westshore Dr. to 1175 N. Westshore Dr.. Health officials say people should avoid body contact with surface waters of the St. Mary's River in these areas.
