Lace up your walking shoes and support the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan
PETOSKEY, EMMET COUNTY -- A Northern Michigan community is preparing to take the steps necessary to help children suffering from Leukemia. "The Walk" will take place in Petoskey in support of the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.
Community members will take in the scenic three-mile route for a cure, while helping raise money for families in Northern Michigan. The Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan is currently servicing more than 200 patients in our area.
"The Walk" will take place Saturday, Sept. 26th. Registration begins at 8 AM at the Bay View Resort in Petoskey. The walk starts at ten. There is a $20 registration fee to participate. Each person who raises $100 will receive a 2009 "The Walk" T-shirt. Walkers will also enjoy Food, refreshments and entertainment.
