Injuries could have been much worse

Six people walked away with minor injuries after a three-car crash Sunday afternoon in Wexford County.

It happened on M-37 near 34 1/2 Road.  State Police say a driver was slowing down to make a turn but was rear-ended by another vehicle. That pushed the first driver into oncoming traffic where he was hit head on by a third vehicle.

Five people were sent to the hospital, including two young children. Investigators say the injuries aren't life threatening, and would have been more serious if not for seat belts and airbags.
