Postal workers collecting food donations Saturday

Postal carriers didn't just deliver mail on Saturday - they also delivered your donations to the local food pantry.

Mail carriers all over the country are joining in for the US Postal Service's annual food drive. Traverse City is no exception, where local carriers are collecting the food you've left at your mailboxes, and in turn bringing those donations back to a collection center.

The food will then be re-packaged and distributed to local food pantries to serve those in need throughout the region.
