Maintaining Procedures for Preventing Spread of Disease

TRAVERSE CITY -- Officials at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City say they're prepared for a Swine Flu outbreak.

The hospital is treating the new strain like any other influenza outbreak, maintaining measures to prevent the spread of illness.

Since all types of flu involve respiratory symptoms, such as a cough or sneezing, anyone in the medical center exhibiting those symptoms is required to wear a mask.

Munson remains in contact with the Health Department to remain up-to-date with the latest information.
