Borders Books in Traverse City is opening their doors for a New Years celebration this year. There will be games, story time, and free samples offered by Seattle's Best. This is the first time the event is being held and organizers hope it will curb some financial worries. Borders employee Kathy Dittenbir says, "its just a way for us to offer families something to do that's free. It generally lasts an hour- hour and a half so it's enough time to give everybody just a little bit of relief from what's going on out in the world." This is the first free event in what Borders hopes will be a series of up coming events based on different holidays.
