Keeping blood sugar levels in check can help your memory, according to a new study. Researchers at Columbia University studied the brains of humans and monkeys, and found having high blood sugar accelerates the deterioration of a part of the brain involved in age-related memory. They also found exercise can lower blood sugar and may slow down the normal deterioration that comes with age. Experts say these results apply to everyone -- not just people with diabetes. They say blood sugar levels tend to rise with age.
