TRAVERSE CITY -- Now that you may be un-decking the halls, rather than tossing your Christmas tree in the trash, why not recycle it? Traverse City Light and Power will continue its free Christmas tree recycling program. Trees can be dropped off at Hull Park on Boardman Lake behind the Traverse Area District Library between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily. All the recycled trees are turned in mulch for use on recreational trails. The program runs through January 26.
