Route 115 re-opened after crash closed it
CLARE -- Two people are dead after a head-on collision in Clare County.
The Clare County Sheriff's Office says it happened around noon on Thursday on northbound M-115, just west of Harding Avenue.
The passenger of one vehicle, a 21-year-old Traverse City woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 22-year-old Caro man, was air lifted to a Saginaw hospital with critical injuries.
A passenger in the second car, a 69-year-old Williamston woman, was transported to Mid-Michigan Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The driver of that vehicle, a 48-year-old male from Ohio, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies say the crash remains under investigation. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
