MANISTEE -- An undercover operation in Manistee leads to several arrests. State Police troopers were asked to help managers at Glen's Market on US-31, just south of Manistee after several shoplifting complaints. About half a dozen State Police troopers conducted a sting for two evenings in December. Plain clothed officers were inside the store monitoring the aisles, uniformed officers monitored the security system, and others were in the parking lot. Along with two shoplifting arrests the operation led to several unexpected arrests including one drunk driver, three felony drug arrests, one fugitive arrest, two alcohol purchases for minors and one probation violation.
