A former Northern Michigan jailer was sentenced to spend at least a year in prison on criminal sex charges. Jack Wartella was sentenced Tuesday for fourth degree criminal sexual conduct. He was originally charged with three counts of first degree CSC involving a minor, but those charges were reduced when he pled guilty last in November. Besides prison time, Wartella will have to register as a sex offender for 25 years.
