The Salvation Army in Manistee is working to replace nearly $1,000 worth of food.
MANISTEE -- According to the branch's corps officer, the rise in temperature on Sunday caused water from melting snow to flood the basement of their building. That destroyed about $800 worth of food. The cost of the food will be covered by insurance, but they won't get the money in time to fill the last 600 holiday food baskets. So far they've replaced food for only 200.
