TRAVERSE CITY -- After months of gathering community input a committee is expected to decide on a final recommendation on what to do with the Boardman River Dams. Discussion groups considered six alternatives include everything from using all four dams for hydro electric power, maintaining them, or removing three of the dams. The Boardman River Dams Committee will once again meet with stakeholders Tuesday night to decide the best option to present to the city. Once they have chosen a route to take, they plan to present the option to the city in January or February.
