The Grand Traverse Sheriff's Department is investigating a malicious destruction of property complaint at the Golden Chopsticks Restaurant on US-31 in Traverse City.

Police officials say Saturday an object struck one of the double pane windows of the restaurant but did not go through the entire window.

Some customers inside the restaurant were alarmed by the incident, but sheriff officials say it is was very unlikely that a bullet was shot at the window.  Police believe it was more likely a stone from a passing vehicle.

The Sheriff's Department did not find the object that struck the window and continue to investigate the incident.
