Snoring and sleep apnea have been linked to several negative health effects, but a new study shows there may be a benefit to fitful sleep by burning calories! Researchers at the University of California San Francisco studied over 200 adults with symptoms of sleep-related breathing disorders. They found those who had the most disturbed sleep burned an average of nearly 2,000 calories while resting. That's compared to only 1,600 calories by those who slept soundly.
