The Toys for Tots program is in desperate need of donations with a 30 percent drop over last year and the need up. The Toy Trolley wrapped up its week long trek across Northern Michigan Friday. During the drive more than 1,400 toys were gathered, but by this time last year more than 4,000 toys were collected. Officials with the program say the toy request is up by 20 percent this year, and hope people meet that need by donating a new unwrapped toy by December 19th.
