Free broadband proposal

The Federal Communications Commission will vote on that measure at their December 18th meeting. Under the proposal, 25 percent of new airwaves for broadband would have to be free across the United States. The FCC Chairman believes free access would help cover demand for broadband in rural underserved areas.
