The Traverse City VFW Post is collecting bikes for Christmas.
TRAVERSE CITY -- Some Grand Traverse County Veterans are hoping to put some bikes under the tree for some families in need. Its called Bikes for Tikes and it's part of the Toys for Tots program. Last year the program collected 191 bicycles to donate. Their goal this year is to collect 200 bikes. Donations can be made in Traverse City at the VFW Post on Veterans Drive, the Eagles Lodge on Fourteenth Street, or the American Legion Lodge on Hastings. This is the sixth year and they do accept bikes or money to purchase bicycles.
