The state average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now under two dollars.
AAA, American Automobile Association, of Michigan says the average fell more than 11 cents a gallon over the last week to $1.96. That's more than $1.20 lower than last year at this time. Of the cities it surveys, AAA says drivers in the Saginaw-Bay City area are paying the least with an average of a $1.88, while motorists in the Marquette area are paying the most at $2.26.
