A Michigan lawmaker Wednesday faced the stunning reality of a bill he is trying to push through the state legislature.

State Representative Rick Jones allowed himself to be tasered at the state capitol in Lansing Wednesday. Jones says it was to prove that stun guns are safe, even to the person tasered. State Representative Jones is sponsoring a bill that would allow people in Michigan to carry a taser for their personal protection. Jones says he wanted to prove to the committee that while a taser can stop an attacker, it is still safe.
