Police from Wisconsin finish their search of a Cheboygan County property turning up no clues in a 33-year-old cold case.
CHEBOYGAN -- With a court order, officers from the Sturgeon Bay Police Department searched a piece of property owned by Richard Pierce at Cordwood Point just east of Cheboygan on Monday. They were looking for the remains of Richard Pierce's wife Carol Pierce. Mrs. Pierce vanished from their Sturgeon Bay home in September of 1975 and was reported missing by her husband a week after her disappearance. Investigators are now asking that anyone with information on this case contact the Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin Police Department.
