Illness is closing a Traverse City Area School.
Blair Elementary School in Grawn will close its doors Friday so custodians can clean the building.
School leaders say an unusually large number of students and staff became sick this week with a stomach bug called Norovirus. After contacting the Grand Traverse County Health Department officials decided it would be best to close down for a day of cleaning.
Blair Elementary will reopen Monday.
