Governor Granholm stops in Traverse City to speak with supporters of Barack Obama. The rally was held Friday morning at the Obama Campaign Headquarters in Traverse City. The Governor says Barak Obama is in the best position to bring Michigan out of the economic downturn and she says Michigan is particularly vulnerable to whatever changes are made by the next president.

Governor Granholm is also talking about the economy and the proposed merger between Chrysler and General Motors. Gov. Granholm and her administration are preparing to retrain laid-off workers and take other steps if the merger goes through. She says a merger means lost jobs, but in her words: "the alternative is worse." We also asked the Governor about her potential for a position in an Obama Administration. She says she'd rather stay in Michigan working as Governor if Obama is elected.
