More than 100 workers are on strike in Ludington after contract talks with their employer stall.
LUDINGTON -- 145 welders, painters, assemblers and maintenance people went on strike Wednesday afternoon from Metalworks in Ludington. The company makes office equipment and the employees say the company's contract proposal included wage decreases for future employees, small wage increases for current employees and higher health insurance costs to be covered by the workers. Union representatives say they won't return to work until this issue is resolved.
