A Freshwater Summit will soon take place in Traverse City, with organizers hoping to highlight the importance of protecting the Great Lakes resource.
First Annual Freshwater Summit to discuss the Great Lakes resource
TRAVERSE CITY -- The Grand Traverse Watershed Center is partnering with the Great Lakes Water Studies Institute to bring the summit to the area. A variety of panels will take place throughout the day covering such topics as water quality and invasive species. The summit will take place Thursday, October 30th. It runs from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Hagerty Center at NMC's Great Lakes Campus. The cost is $15 and guests must be pre registered to take part.
