Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Deputies say a string of incidents leads to the arrest of an 18-year-old Grand Traverse County man. The incidents happened on Saturday night in Mayfield Township. Deputies say an 16-year-old male was asked to give an 18-year-old man a ride from a party to a home on Michaels Road in Mayfield Township. The 18 year old fell asleep in the back seat, woke-up and tried to drive the car, but ended up backing into a utility pole and taking down the lines. A short time later, deputies say they learned of a man threatening a 73-year-old woman at a home down the road, telling her not to call the police. When deputies arrived, they found the 18-year-old asleep. He was arrested on home invasion, car theft, drunk driving and malicious destruction of property charges.
