The Blood Bowl is set to kick off Monday October 20th in Traverse City. A first for the area, Michigan State University and U of M fans are invited to roll up their sleeves for some friendly competition. Recruiter Holly Sika tells 7&4 News "We're just trying to add a fun element to something that we need every single day. Blood is always needed and its something that everyone can do and its free to donate blood and its saving lives."
The week long event will get underway at Michigan Community Blood Center in Traverse City next Monday from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
