OSCEOLA CO. -- Two people are dead after a semi-truck jack-knifed and hit another car.

The crash happened around 8:00 this morning on M-66 near 9-mile Road.

Carol Rose Guess, 72, and Stanley Eugene Bentley were both killed in the crash.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office tells 7&4 News that the semi-truck lost control on the icy road causing in to jack-knife and slide into the other lane of traffic. A southbound car was hit by the truck.

Both adult occupants of the southbound car were killed.

The semi-truck driver was not injured, but his passenger received minor injuries.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office says M-66 from 7 Mile to 9 Mile roads is closed "indefinitely" while the crash is investigated.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
