CADILLAC -- The Cadillac Police Department has called off it's investigation on a suspicious incident, involving an 8-year-old boy.

7&4 News first told you about this story on Friday on 7&4 News at 11:00pm. It happened around 4:30pm Friday afternoon in the Pheasant Ridge Estates in Wexford County. An 8-year-old boy was walking home from his bus stop when he says someone pulled up next to him in a gray mid-size car and offered him a candy bar.

On Saturday, the driver of the vehicle came to the police department, after he realized police were looking for him. Authorities say this was a misunderstanding and that the man does not pose a threat to the public.
