LAKE CO. -- A 65-year-old Lake County man died after deputies say he crashed his snowmobile.
Deputies say Frank Smith died after his snowmobile collided with a tree.
The crash happened on a trail near the intersection of Centerline and Foreman Road in Peacock Township.
Witnesses, including a family member, say Smith lost control of the snowmobile around a curve, left the trail and hit a tree.
Investigators say speed and trail familiarity were factors in the crash.
