CHIPPEWA CO. -- Nine people charged in connection with a marijuana trafficking ring in Chippewa County were back in court today.

The Assistant Prosecutor tells 7&4 News that 3 of the suspects have chosen to have a preliminary hearing - the rest waived their right to a hearing and now will go to Circuit Court.

The suspects were among those arrested in October after investigators discovered hundreds of marijuana plants and gallons of hash oil at a growing location in Brimley.

The cases will move forward on January 8th and 11th.
