TRAVERSE CITY -- If you are looking for work in the Information Technology field, you may want to take part in a job fair next week in Traverse City.

At least nine local businesses will be particpating in the Northwest Michigan Works! IT career and job fair Tuesday, April 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City.

The job fair will feature a variety of Information Technology positions along with information and resources for people considering IT careers.

Business participating in the job fair include: CPM Century ExtrusionFrontier ComputersHagerty InsuranceInforth TechnologiesNorthpointe, Inc., OneUpWeb, Power IT, Safety Net, and Wyant Computer Services.

Employers will be recruiting qualified candidates for current open positions in:

· Network Administration

· Web Development

· Tech Support

· Database Administration

Anyone interested in applying for one of those positions should send a résumé prior to April 10 to: jobfairs@nwm.cog.mi.us.

Applicants should also bring a customized résumé highlighting relevant qualifications to the job fair and be prepared for a professional, onsite interview.

Representatives from Northwestern Michigan College and Northwest Michigan Works! will also be available to answer questions about education and training opportunities for anyone interested in an IT career.
