Emmet Co. man behind bars after reports of shots fired

EMMET CO. -- A Cross Village man is behind bars after Emmet Co. Sheriff's Deputies received reports of shots fired at a Levering Road home.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon.

Deputies say the secured the area and eventually made contact with the suspect, 53-year-old Jerry Dean Cole.

Cole was arrested and later charged with Delivery/Manufacture Marijuana Felony, Possession of Weapons-Firearm Felony, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Felony, Firearm Felony, Possession of Marijuana Misdemeanor and Habitual Offender - Fourth Offense Notice.

Cole's bond was set at $50,000 and he remains at the Emmet County Jail.
