Scott Ford is sentenced to 11 months in jail for computer crime

PETOSKEY -- A former Emmet County Sheriff's Deputy is sentenced to nearly a year in jail after pleading guilty to Unauthorized Access to a Computer System.
Scott Ford was sentenced to eleven months in jail, two months probation and 200 hours of community service.
According to Sheriff Pete Wallin, a case was built against Ford after a woman alleged that he had paid her 200-dollars for sexual relations while she was part of a stalking complaint investigation.
During an investigation into the allegations against Ford, evidence of the computer crime was found.
Other felony charges, including Criminal Sexual Misconduct and Felony Weapons charges were dropped.
