The St. Ignace Saints found themselves in familiar territory, back at The Breslin Center playing for a chance to bring a state title in girls' basketball back home. For the fourth year in a row, the Saints tipped off a game in the state semifinals in East Lansing, needing only a single win to advance to the title game.

Tonight, they earned that chance with a 42 to 36 win against Climax-Scotts. The Saints trailed after the first quarter, and went into half time tied at 16. It was in the fourth quarter that St. Ignace pulled away, outscoring Climax-Scotts 13 to 8 in the period.

Leading the way for the Saints, was Kelley Wright with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Teammate Abbey Ostman added 6 points, but led the way with 13 rebounds.  With the win, the Saints maintain their undefeated record, and move on to play Saturday morning at 10 against the winner of the Waterford Our Lady vs. Athens game for a state title.
