GRAND TRAVERSE --      This event is for all those homeowners with old appliances hanging around that they can't seem to get rid of. The 8th Clean Up and Green Up is sponsored by the Michigan Green Consotrium and is a free community-wide recycling and repurposing event.

It's all happening this Sunday, March 10 from 9 AM to 3 PM at the American Waste facility on Hughes Drive in Traverse City. There are over 20 drive-thru stations you can drop off your unwanted household items for proper recycling or disposal. This year tires will not be accepted although they have been in the past. For a full list of items you can or can't drop off, visit their website www.cleanupgreenup.com.
