TRAVERSE CITY -- In light of the warm weather outside, folks decided to warm-up their taste buds Saturday afternoon at the annual Downtown Chili Cook Off in Traverse City.

More than a dozen of the area's top restaurant chefs put their chili making skills to the test for the 19th Annual Chili Cook Off at the Park Place Hotel Dome.

From mild flavors to wild flavors, each chef got to show off their personal style then it was time for some tasting.

Organizers say last year more than 1,800 people showed up to try the delicious creations and this year they are hoping to beat that record. All proceeds will pay for downtown events like Friday Night Live and the Downtown Art Walk.
