KALAMAZOO (AP) -- Western Michigan University is offering a 14-part lecture series on climate change.

The Kalamazoo school says the talks begin this Wednesday and continue on Wednesdays through April 17 in the Lee Honors College lounge. They run from noon to 1 p.m.

Western Michigan says the multidisciplinary talks are free and open to the public. The series is called "Climate Change: Scientific, Socio-economic and Policy Perspectives."

The school says the speakers are "a diverse group of WMU faculty members."

Biology professor David Karowe will give the first talk, which will deal with the past, present and future of human-made climate change.
