TRAVERSE CITY -- The Downtown Traverse City Association exceeded their goal with the Downtown Gift Certificate program this year.
Sales in 2011 were $318,000 and the goal for this year was to exceed $350,000. That goal was exceeded today.
The Downtown Gift Certificate program continues to be one of the most successful shop-local programs in the region. Certificates may be purchased at the Downtown Traverse City Office, Hardy Parking Deck, Traverse City Convention & Visitors Bureau, TC State Bank and by visiting www.downtownTC.com.
Certificates are redeemable at over 200 businesses in downtown Traverse City.
Sales will continue and final numbers for the year will be released at a later date.
