Got errands or last minute shopping to do? Get it done today! Seeing some sun and highs in the upper 30s-low 40s, light winds today.

Low pressure from the plains is making it's way into SW MI by tomorrow morning and working it's way towards the thumb during Thursday, exiting the area Friday.

We have a winter storm warning in effect for the following counties: Chippewa, Mackinac, Emmet, Cheboygan, ...Presque Isle, Charlevoix, Leelanau, Antrim, Otsego, Montmorency, Benzie, GT, Kalkaska, Crawford, Manistee, Wexford, and Missaukee. The warning is from 7am Thursday to 7pm Friday - 10+ inches possible, and with gusty winds expect low visibilities and blowing and drifting snow, blizzard conditions are possible.

We also have a winter storm watch in effect from Thursday morning to Friday evening for the following counties: Alpena, Oscoda, Alcona, Roscommon, Ogemaw, and Gladwin. Those counties may be looking at 6-12" of snowfall and blowing/drifting snow.

The thing to keep in mind is that this is heavy, wet snow and may cause slick roads, low visibilities, drifting snow, and power outages.
