TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City Area Public Schools will have to find a new Director of Communications.

Alison Arnold is resigning from her job to pursue other career opportunities.

The school says they gave her a week to think about it, and she still felt it was the best decision for her career.

Arnold made just under $85,000 per year.

She was with the district for 11 years and helped secure several grants.

Her resignation will take effect January 4th.
