WEXFORD CO. -- State Police are investigating the shooting of a horse in Wexford County.

The horse was found shot to death in a pasture on West 4 Road and 25 Road back on November 21st.

It was among some 30 other horses.

Investigators say the area is heavily hunted and believe a hunter's stray bullet may be the cause, but can't be sure yet.

They are asking anyone that can help with the investigation to call State Police in Cadillac at 231-779-6040 or the Silent Observer Tip Line at 1-800-528-8234.
