SHEPHERD -- An Isabella County man is charged with attempted murder after police say he tried to kill his wife with a heavy metal hook. Shepherd Police say William Wilfong assaulted his wife Tuesday morning.
Police were called out to the home on East Pleasant Valley Road in Coe Township for a domestic assault. They found Wilfong with self inflicted injuries and then discovered that his wife was also injured. Police say she is now hospitalized with head injuries, but is in fair condition.
Wilfong was also hospitalized, but has since been taken to jail.
