You can help those affected by Hurricane Sandy by donating to the American Red Cross by clicking here.

The northern Michigan community stepped up for our bottled water drive!   As of 1pm our truck heading to the east coast is full!  With the help of our community, we were able to track down a second truck. We are estimating over 20,000 bottles of water were donated. Thank you to everyone who donated to help the victims of Sandy.

Financial help is still desperately needed. Tonight during 7&4 News at 5 and 6, we will be hosting a live phone bank to raise money for the American Red Cross.   Volunteers will also be in our studio to answer your calls and take your life changing donations.  The phone number to call during the phone bank is 1-877-897-9726.

7&4 news would like to thank Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan for providing the truck for the water delivery. Also a big thanks to Schmukal Oil Company for providing the gas money for the truck to make the trip out east.

Our crew will be leaving Friday to head to some of the hardest hit areas to deliver the bottled water from the 7&4 viewers. You can follow Nathan Edwards on his journey east through his blog.
