7&4 President and CEO Jill Saarela released this statement on the death of Scott Michael Trager, 9&10/Fox 32 Anchor, who died unexpectedly this morning.
"As many of you have already heard, today we lost an outstanding journalist from our market. Scott was a great contributor to our market in many ways as well as to our station (many of you may not know but he was our sports reporter way back)
His professionalism and high standards for reporting, anchoring and participating in the community fueled the competitive environment and made each of us better broadcasters."
We mourn this loss with all of northern Michigan and our thoughts and prayers are with Scott's family.
