ISABELLA CO. -- One person is dead after an early morning car crash in Isabella County.
It happened Monday at 12:39am on E. Pickard Road in Chippewa Township. The Sheriff's Office received a call to be on the lookout for a car that was swerving on E. Pickard Road. Just moments later a 9-1-1 call about an accident was received.
Investigators believe the driver of the car, Daryl Patterson, 64, of Clare lost control of the car during a sharp turn. The car ran off the road and hit a tree.
Patterson was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. An autopsy is being conducted to determine if a medical problem contributed to the crash.
