ELK RAPIDS -- More than 300 Subaru's lined the streets of Elk Rapids Sunday, in memory of Matthew Marker who was killed last year at a rally car race.

Marker was from Elk Rapids and was killed when his car crashed in Washington State.

In his honor, his family and friends came together to attempt break a world record for the largest parade of Subaru vehicles.

The current record is 339 set by Subaru America back in 2009.

Right now, registration numbers indicate that they are on track to secure the new world record! They had about 357 people register for the event.

We’ll be sure to tell you if they were able to set the new world record, as soon as the official results are released.
