GRAND TRAVERSE CO. -- Watching the Detroit Red Wings train at Centre Ice in Traverse City is a yearly tradition for many families and hockey fans across the state.

With the NHL lockout looming it could cost fans their fun, and local buisnesses big money.

If NHL owners and players don't reach a deal on a new contract by Saturday, owners say they support a lockout.

Terry Marchand, owner of Centre Ice says, "We are keeping our fingers crossed. We will still be ready if they come to an agreement. It would be a week from Saturday when they come up, but it doesn't look promising."

The non-profit stands to lose a few hundred thousand dollars.

Marchand says training camp brings an estimated $3-5 million into the Traverse City community.
