TRAVERSE CITY -- You may see an increase in activity along the lakeshore throughout the next two weeks as Air Station Traverse City takes part in some training exercises.
Coast Guard crews will be conducting annual standardization and certification exercises.
The training will include in-flight emergencies as well as water rescues.
Instructors from the Coast Guard helicopter training branch in Mobile, Alabama will be in Traverse City to approve of the crews performance.
